Just like any robot, a snake-arm is "just a delivery mechanism".

You may need to get access to a confined space to inspect, take samples, remove components, or for assembly.

We have worked with customers to miniaturise exisiting tooling and design new tools that deliver the required processing capability at the end of the snake-arm.

Tools that we have already designed include: grippers, cutters, inspection, tack welding, swaging and sealant application. We have also had discussions with customers about using a snake-arm as a steerable hose for introducing or removing particulates and liquids. Your application may need laser welding, ultrasound, cleaning or deburring so talk to us about your requirements.
